Feeling Stuck? How Trauma, Anxiety, and Relationship Patterns Keep You from Thriving and How Therapy Helps You Break Free

If you have been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in repeating patterns, you are not alone. Many people come to therapy because they are tired of holding everything together on the outside while struggling internally. I work with high functioning adults, teens, and couples who often carry anxiety, trauma, emotional wounds from childhood, or unresolved relational stress. Even when they look successful and composed, they feel exhausted, insecure, or unsure how to stop the cycle.

As a Las Vegas therapist who specializes in trauma, EMDR therapy, EMDR Intensives, anxiety, relationship challenges, and emotional regulation, I help clients understand the deeper roots of their patterns so they can finally feel grounded again. Most of the clients I work with have experienced childhood trauma, emotional neglect, complicated family dynamics, or intense environments that shaped the way they show up in relationships today. These patterns are not personal failures. They are protective strategies that helped you survive. The work in therapy is learning how to shift these strategies so you can feel more secure, confident, and connected.

Why We Get Stuck in Old Patterns

Even when you logically know something is not working, your nervous system may still be responding as if the past is happening in the present. This is why change can feel confusing or frustrating. You might notice experiences such as:

• Overthinking or constant worry
• Shutting down or avoiding conflict
• Feeling responsible for other people’s emotions
• Staying in relationships or jobs that drain you
• Struggling to express needs or set boundaries
• Fear of disappointing others
• Feeling unsure of yourself, even when you are capable

These reactions are often rooted in earlier experiences that taught you to stay small, hyper aware, or emotionally guarded. Therapy can help your mind and body release these old patterns so you can respond from a place of strength rather than fear.

How Therapy Helps You Heal and Rewire

My therapeutic approach is integrative and compassion centered. I combine EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EFIT, somatic work, internal parts work, mindfulness, DBT informed strategies, and trauma informed practices. You receive a personalized approach that helps you heal at both the emotional and nervous system level.

EMDR and EMDR Intensives

EMDR is one of the most effective ways to heal unresolved trauma stored in the nervous system. Many clients come to me feeling stuck, easily triggered, or overwhelmed by memories or emotions that feel out of proportion. EMDR helps the brain process these experiences in a healthier way. My EMDR Intensives offer a deeper and more focused approach for clients who want faster relief and more time dedicated to meaningful therapeutic work.

Emotionally Focused Therapy and Parts Work

Clients who struggle with self worth or relationship patterns benefit from understanding the emotional roots of their responses. Through EFIT, EFT, and parts work, we explore the protective parts that learned to people please, shut down, overachieve, or avoid conflict. You learn to respond to yourself with more compassion and clarity which naturally shifts the way you relate to others.

Mindfulness and Somatic Practices

Stress is not only a mental experience. Many clients carry trauma in the body through tension, tightness, gut discomfort, shallow breathing, or chronic stress responses. Somatic and mindfulness practices help you reconnect with your body and create a sense of internal safety.

You Do Not Have to Carry Everything Alone

Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or a sense of feeling lost, therapy can help you feel supported and understood. Healing is not about fixing yourself. It is about reconnecting with the resilient, grounded, and capable parts of who you are.

I offer in person therapy in Summerlin Las Vegas and online therapy across Nevada with specialized support for trauma healing, EMDR Intensives, anxiety, and relationship growth.
